Big Dill Energy


Intro

Another custom cocktail! This one is for someone who really loves dill and is from Norway, hence the inclusion of a Norwegian aquavit. If you’re unable to get your hands on any aquavit, you can just sub in more gin BUT if you’re able to, I’d highly recommend it as it adds a great level of complexity to this refreshing drink.

What You'll Need

For each cocktail:

Use a peeler to make the cucumber ribbons

  • Chopped cucumber chunks

  • Fresh dill fronds

  • ½ oz fresh lemon juice

  • ½ bar spoon dill oil (optional)

  • ¼ oz aquavit

  • 1 oz St. Germain (or any elderflower liqueur)

  • 2 oz London dry gin

  • Garnish: a rolled-up cucumber ribbon with fresh dill fronds

For each cocktail:

To a cocktail shaker, muddle some fresh dill fronds with the cucumber chunks and add ice and all the other ingredients (ideally, in the order shown above)

Shake very well and double strain into a chilled coupe that has the cucumber spiral and fresh dill fronds

Garnish with the cucumber ribbon “cone” with fresh dill fronds
